6 Stunden Zugfahrt liegen hinter uns. Wir haben heute, außer der tollen Landschaft, nicht viel gesehen, konnten aber endlich mal wieder etwas Schlaf nachholen. Der warme Süden, auf den wir uns so lange freuten, ist bei weitem nicht so warm wie gedacht. Trotzdem kommen gerade jetzt richtig Urlaubsgefühle auf, denn die Straßen sind allesamt mit riesigen Palmen gesäumt.
Noch ehe wir im Hotel ankamen, wurde ich von einer älteren Frau angesprochen. Gleich in der Nähe wäre ein Matsuri, eine Festival, was wir unbedingt sehen sollten! Mich hat es nicht verwundert, bis jetzt platzten wir immer zufällig in die seltsamsten Veranstaltungen. Bevor ich mich versah drückte mir die Frau einen Plastikfächer und einen Luftballon-Hund in die Hand und verschwand so schnell wie sie auch gekommen war. Ich stand nun etwas verwundert an der Straße mit einem hellblauen Luftballongebilde.
Wir schafften unsere Sachen auf’s Zimmer und zogen nochmals los, um das uns empfohlene Festival aufzusuchen. Einige Banner wiesen uns den Weg in eine kleine Einkaufsstraße, in der viele kleine Stände aufgebaut waren, die jeweils ein Land verkörperten. Am deutschen Stand verkaufte ein junger Deutscher in Lederhosen Bier, am ägyptischen Stand konnte man Papyrusbilder und am koreanischen Stand Essen kaufen.
Mittig der Straße war eine Bühne aufgebaut, vor der leichtbekleidete Japanerinnen in spanisch nachempfundenen Kostümen kastagnettenklappernd zur Musik tanzten. Die zuschauende Masse klatschte, versucht rhythmisch, und bestaunte den exotischen Tanz. Den Vogel abgeschossen hatte am Ende eine kleine Oma, die von einer der Tänzerinnen nach vorn geholt wurde. Diese ahmte alle Tanzbewegungen unter dem Jubeln und vor Lachen gröhlenden Rufen der Zuschauer nach. Unser Abendessen nahmen wir im Mos Burger ein, einer Fastfoodkette, die in Japan mindestens so verbreitet ist, wie MC Donalds und Subway.
