Selten haben wir Zeit, uns den Stadtteil, in dem wir untergekommen sind, anzuschauen. Deshalb nutzen wir den Tag heute, um einmal halbwegs auszuschlafen und uns dann in Asakusa umzuschauen. Da es hier von Touristen jedoch nur so überschwemmt ist, hatten wir beizeiten die Nase voll und machten uns schon eher, als wir geplant hatten, auf den Weg nach Meguro.
Hier fühlten wir uns, wie in einer anderen Stadt: zwar sah alles etwas altbacken aus, aber die Leute schienen entspannter und alles war entschleunigt. Fürs Mittagessen entschieden wir uns für einen kleinen Laden, der mit japanischen Sandwiches warb. Die drei Eigentümer sprachen uns nach etwas Bedenkzeit an und daraufhin entstand ein witziges Gespräch, welches im Austausch von Instagram-Accounts und mit neuen Freunden endete. Und dann ging es zum eigentlichen Ziel in Meguro – dem „mipig Cafe“, einem Cafe, in dem man Mini Schweinchen kraulen kann.
In einem kleinen, hübsch eingerichteten Raum saßen nun ca. zehn Menschen mit Kuscheldecken auf den Beinen und kraulten die Köpfe von kleinen niedlichen Ferkeln.
Nach einer Stunde Ferkelei, machten wir einen Zwischenstopp in einem größeren Kaufhaus in Shinjuku, weil ich mir dort unbedingt Zehenschuhe kaufen wollte und dann ging es weiter nach Ikebukuro, wo wir noch einen Weile im Sunshine City Center bummelten, ehe wir in einem Okonimiyaki Restaurant einkehrten und heute fast ohne Hilfe unser Okonomiyaki bruzelten.
Für den Nachtisch fuhren wir wieder nach Ueno (Und hatten somit eine komplette Runde mit der Yamanote Linie durch!) und aßen ein Hot Fudge Brownie Eis im Hard Rock Cafe.
