Und der Fujifluch geht weiter – es war den ganzen Tag bewölkt, sodass kein Stück vom Himmel zu sehen war.
Wir ließen uns nicht beirren und holten uns von der Touristeninfo eine Wanderkarte vom Aokigahara, der als Selbstmörderwald oder, was schöner ist, Baummeer bekannt ist.
Unser Bus dahin schien noch nicht ausgeschlafen zu haben und blieb noch am Bahnhof liegen. Wir wurden jedoch umgehend in einen zweiten verfrachtet und fuhren an den malerischen Seen entlang. Am Bestimmungsort angekommen, kauften wir erst einmal einen gegrillten Maiskolben und beschlossen kurzerhand noch, das kleine Museumsdorf zu besichtigen, was auf dem Weg lag. Auf der Strecke dahin, kamen uns schon viele Menschen mit bunten Springbllen an der Hand entgegen. Ich witterte Spaß und freute mich noch mehr, als es die am Dorfeingang kostenlos zum mitnehmen gab. Wasserbomben, mit einem Schuss Wasser und viel Luft gefüllt und an einem Gummiband befestigt – Spaß für einen ganzen Tag kann so einfach sein.
Wir liefen durch die kleinen Hütten und sahen uns die vielen kleinen selbst hergestellten Sachen an; geflochtene Körbe, Kleidung aus Seide, Töpferkunst und Papier.
Am Ausgang leisteten wir uns noch ein „schwarzer Sesam“ Eis und ein Wasabi Eis (ja, scharf!) und zogen los.
Wir fanden den wenig vertrauenserweckenden Eingang zum Aokigahara.
….. wanderten wir mehr oder weniger allein durch den Wald und bestaunten jeden Zentimeter der wunderschönen Natur. Für Waldfans ist dieser ein Muss, denn alles ist naturbelassen und nicht an den Menschen angepasst. Hier muss man selbst auf den Wegen über umgefallene Bäume steigen, schmale, rutschige Pfade mit tiefen Abgründen überwinden und sollte sich wirklich an die Wegweißer, meist leuchtend pinke Bändchen halten, denn in dem Meer aus Bäumen verliert man schnell die Orientierung.
Wir entdeckten eine Höhle, in der es kalt war und in welche ein kleiner Schrein gesetzt wurde. Auch sahen wir ein gelbes Seil, was in den Wald geht und wie es oft von todessehnsüchtigen Menschen genutzt wird, die sich noch nicht sicher sind. Möglicherweise war es aber auch nur angebracht, um ein bisschen Spannung in die Wanderung zu bringen.
Wir aßen an einem kleinen Imbissstand nicht weit von unserem Hotel und machten uns dann auf den Weg zur Chureito Pagode und siehe da – da stand er, der Fuji, weit entfernt am Himmel, majestätisch thronen. Diese 5 Sekunden waren zwar das Einzige, was er von sich sehen ließ, aber wir konnten uns schon einmal ein Bild von seiner Größe machen.
