Auch an unserem letzten Tag in Fujiyoshida zeigte sich das Wetter von keiner besseren Seite. Zwar konnte man die Füße des Fuji ein wenig sehen, mehr aber auch nicht. Wir knuddelten noch einmal kurz Labo-chan, den Hostelhund und fuhren dann unsere letzte Station. Tokyo, an.
Unser Hotel könnte besser nicht liegen: 5 Minuten Gehweg von der Shinjuku Station – dem Bahnhof mit dem höchsten Passagieraufkommen in ganz Japan. Hier geht zu jeder Tages- oder Nachtzeit die Luzie ab und wir sind mitten im Geschehen. Volle Züge natürlich inklusive.
Zuerst steuerten wir den Disney Store an und fuhren anschließend direkt nach Nakano, zum Broadway. Das ist ein riesiges Kaufhaus, welches über drei Etagen ausschließlich gebrauchte Bücher, Puppen, Spielzeuge, Sammelfiguren und Kuriositäten aller Art verkauft. Mein persönlicher Lieblingsladen ist der Robot Robot – dort ist meine gesamte Kindheit beheimatet. Alle Spielsachen und Gegenstände, die ich als Kind hatte oder wollte sind dort verfügbar und ich könnte stundenlang durch die Regale gehen und die Zeitreise genießen.
Wir begaben uns am Abend noch auf Pokemonjagd und liefen viele, viele Kilometer quer durch ganz Tokyo. Die meiste Zeit entlang an Parks und durch kleine, dunkle Gassen. Und nur eine einzige Abbiegung die wir nahmen, bracht uns unerwartet auf eine der meist befahrenen Straßen Shinjukus.
Am heutigen Tag besuchte wir morgens gleich das Ghibli Museum. Die Eintrittskarten hierfür haben wir seit fast einem halben Jahr schon. Denn pro Tag dürfen nur 400 Leute das Museum betreten und die Anfrage ist so hoch, dass man sich beizeiten um die begehrten Tickets kümmern sollte.
Für alle Ghibli- oder Trickfilmfans sollte das Museum jedoch weit oben auf der Japan-to-do-Liste stehen. Neben den Originalzeichnungen der bekannten Filme, gibt es so viele wunderschöne und interessante Dinge in dem labyrinthartigen Haus zu sehen: einen riesegen Katzenbus, einen Kinosaal mit exklusiven Filmen nur für Besucher, Ausstellungen zu den Filmen und viele liebevoll inszenierte Schaukästen. Wir haben, wie es der Zufall manchmal so will, Ninotaku, einen deutschen Youtuber (https://www.youtube.com/user/ninotakutv) dort gesehen.
Im Anschluss fuhren wir nach Harajuku, dem Paradies für ausgefallene Klamotten und danach nach Akihabara, den Elektronik Stadtteil Tokyos. Höhepunkt war aber das Abendessen mit Tatsuya, welches zum Ritual in Japan geworden ist. Wie jedes Mal hatten wir Essen und Spaß im Überfluss und konnten uns über die deutschen und japanischen Sitten und Gebräuche erheitern.
