Heute wollten wir ins bekannte Asahi Gebäude in Asakusa, weil René hoffte, sich ein T-Shirt für seine Bier-Shirt-Sammlung zu kaufen. Wir liefen also in glühender Hitze über den Sumida-Fluss und wurden plötzlich von einer Gruppe von fünf Frauen überfallen, die uns einen Zettel von der Asahi-Brauerei unter die Nase hielten und fragten, ob wir uns die nicht anschauen möchten.

Ohne groß überlegen zu können, was auf uns zukommen könne, nickten wir und urplötzlich brachen die Frauen in Jubel aus und zogen in Partystimmung mit uns die Straße entlang.

Auch andere Ausländer befanden sich bereits in ihren Fängen und so fuhren wir mit einer größeren Gruppe mit dem Fahrstuhl in den Showroom.

Wir wurden alle gebeten, Platz zu nehmen und füllten zunächst einen Umfragebogen aus (Das überraschte mich eher positiv, hatte ich aufgrund der dubiosen Situation auf der Straße mit einer illegalen Nierenentnahme gerechnet).

Es waren hauptsächlich Fragen zum Bierkonsum – ob man jeden Tag ein Bier trinke und wenn nein, warum nicht.

Nach mehreren Minuten gaben wir den Bogen ab und erhielten einen Coupon für ein Freibier (besonders ich konnte meine Freude kaum zügeln).

Es folgten verschiedene Aktionsbereiche: eine Fotowand, hinter die man sich stellen konnte, drei Sitze mit VR-Brillen, mit denen man die Trinkkultur Japans erklärt bekam, ein nachgestelltes Isakaya (japanisches Restaurant) mit Fake Food aus der Kappabashi Straße, ein Origami- und Handtuchfalttisch und ein nachgebauter Bierausschank.

Der Reihe nach gingen wir in Begleitung einer Mitarbeiterin durch die verschiedenen Bereiche und mussten über die ein oder andere Frage lachen: ob wir wüssten, was ein Isakaya ist, ob wir schonmal Tempura gegessen hätten, ob wir uns zutrauen würden, in ein japanisches Restaurant zu gehen,…

Am Schanktisch gab es ein Asahi Bier und zu meiner Freude auch eine Auswahl an Softdrinks. Wir tauschten die Coupons ein, setzten uns an einen freien Tisch und bekamen Gemüsestreifen und durften uns vier Dipps aussuchen. Nach dem Verzehr füllten wir dann die restlichen drei Fragen der Meinungsumfrage aus. Es wurde sich dafür interessiert, wie wir den Showroom fanden, welcher Bereich uns am besten gefallen hat, ob wir wüssten, dass Pilsner Urquell von Asahi aufgekauft wurde und wie viel Eintritt wir als angemessen erachten würden. Als Dankeschön erhielten wir Essstäbchen und zwei Fächer, Taschentücher, Minzdrops und weitere Freicoupons auf Städe unserer Wahl. Und gegen den Upload eines eben geschossenen Fotos auf einer Plattform unserer Wahl sogar noch Sticker mit meinem Namen in Kanji.

Das gewünschte Shirt konnte man nicht kaufen, aber das Erlebnis in dem Showroom, aus dem wir so schnell wieder draußen wie vorher drinnen waren, war sehr bizarr und witzig.

Auf dem Weg zum Einkäufe erledigen in einem anderen Stadtteil, kamen wir nochmal an den fünf Frauen vom Anfang auf uns sofort flammte wieder Partystimmung auf, als sie uns erblickten.
