Mit gepackten Sachen mussten wir leider aus dem schönen Hana-Hostel auschecken. Nana, die Rezeptionistin und nach eigenen Angaben kein besonderer Kumamon Fan, musste jedoch beim Abschied noch ein Bild von meinem Kumamon machen, der aus dem Rucksack hervorschaute. Das will doch was heißen!

Die Shinkansen-Fahrzeit von Fukuoka nach Yokohama beläuft sich auf mehr als 5 Stunden.
So verbrachten wir also einen Großteil des Tages im Zug. Umso kürzer war dann allerdings der Weg vom Bahnhof zum Hotel. Genau eine Straßenüberquerung. Um ins Hotel zu gelangen, muss man zuerst in einem riesigen Wolkenkratzer in den fünften Stock fahren. Von der dort gelegenen Rezeption aus geht es dann mit einem anderen Fahrstuhl in die einzelnen Hotelflure. Wir sind im 19. Stock und können über ganz (fast) Yokohama schauen.

Um am Abend noch etwas zu sehen, liefen wir nach Minato Mirai 21. Diese ist am Meer gelegen und wird von den angrenzenden Hochhäusern, dem Riesenrad und den kleinen Ausflugsbooten wunderschön beleuchtet.

Direkt am Riesenrad befindet sich ein kleiner Vergnügungspark mit verschiedenen Fahrgeschäften, für die man einzeln bezahlen kann.
Wir fuhren eine Runde mit der größten Achterbahn und gingen anschließend in die große Einkaufsmall um uns aufzuwärmen. Auf mehr als sechs Etagen gab es wieder unzählige kleine Läden mit den schönsten und ausgefallendsten Sachen. Wir brachten eine ganze Weile mit Bummeln zu, bis wir uns dann in einem der vielen kleinen Restaurants niederließen um Abend zu essen.

Auf dem Rückweg zu unserem Hotel machten wir auch schon das Cup-Nudel-Museum aus, welches unter anderem morgen auf unserem Besichtigungsplan steht.
