Von einer Lieblingsstadt zur nächsten: morgens beizeiten brachen wir nach Nagasaki auf. An einem Geschäft vorbeilaufend, sahen wir, wie alle Mitarbeiter in den Gängen des Büros verteilt standen und synchron Morgengymnastik, vom Chef angeleitet, betrieben. Belustigt nahmen wir uns einen Augenblick und sahen dem Spektakel zu.
Während wir noch unseren Zug warteten, setzte sich ein älterer, sehr aufgeschlossener Herr neben uns und füllte die halbe Stunde Wartezeit mit einem freundlichen Gespräch.
Wir verbrachten den gesamten Mittag im Zug und machten uns gleich nach de Ankunft in Nagasaki auf zum
A-Bomb Museum, da das nur bis 17.00 geöffnet hat. Zum zweiten Mal besuchten wir nun das Museum aber immer noch hatten wir Gänsehaut bei all den vielen Bildern und Fundstücken, die die Katastrophe des Atombombenabwurfes zeigen.
Anschließend wollten wir schnellstmöglich unsere Taschen loswerden und fuhren zum Akari Hostel – den Weg kannten wir mittlerweile im Schlaf. Auch die neue Hostelangestellte staunte nicht schlecht, als sie fragte, ob wir schon einmal da waren und wir mit „ja, fünf Mal!“ antworteten. Der kleine Hostelfisch war mittlerweile anscheinend verstorben – oder gegessen- zumindest nicht mehr anzutreffen.
Um keine Zeit zu verlieren, gingen wir gleich im Anschluss die kleine Ladengasse entlang. Hier hatten sich im Vergleich zum letzten Jahr viele kleine, neue Läden angesiedelt und brachten richtig Leben in die schmale Straße. Bevor wir uns den Bauch vollschlugen, machten wir einen kurzen Abstecher in zwei Läden, welche voll sind von allen möglichen Sachen, die man sich denken kann. Allerlei Elektronik, Schmuck, Spielzeug und unwahrscheinlich vieles, tolles Bastel- und Nähzubehör war zu finden (neben Kuriositäten wie den kleinen Pistolen, mit denen man sich selbst Ohrlöcher oder Nasenpiercings schießen kann)
Unser Abendessen nahmen wir, konservativ wie jedes Jahr, im Restaurant über dem Gemüseladen ein, wo man für etwa 10 € ein absolut leckeres All you can eat Buffet vorfindet. Beim Gehen konnten wir den monströs riesigen Früchten im Gemüseladen nicht widerstehen und kauften eine wahnsinnig große Nashibirne und eine ebenso überdimensionale Kaki. Ich hoffe, dass das weniger auf die Folgen der Atombombe zurückzuführen, sondern vielmehr dem Klima zu verdanken ist.
Obwohl es schon stockdunkel und ziemlich kalt war, stiegen wir auf den benachbarten Berg, durch schmale Gassen und an den Friedhöfen vorbei, um einen Geocache zu finden, an dem wir letztes Jahr kläglich scheiterten! Es dauerte auch diesmal wieder seine Zeit, doch die Geduld wurde mit Erfolg und einem atemberaubenden Nachtblick über Nagasaki belohnt. Auf dem Rückweg wurden wir noch von einer überaus kontaktfreudigen Katze aufgehalten, die uns nur gegen Zuwendung passieren lies.
