Heute machte uns das Wetter zum ersten Mal einen Strich durch die Rechnung. Wir sind mit Zug und Bus nach Takachiho gefahren, um dort den Wasserfall anzusehen. Das Wasser fiel aber bereits schon kurz nach unserer Ankunft in Strömen vom Himmel, sodass wir uns gegen den Ausflug entschieden. Die Folge wäre nasse Kleidung gewesen, die wir hätten unterwegs nicht trocknen können. Wir zogen also vier Stunden Warten im Tourismuscenter einer Lungenentzündung vor und zogen unverrichteter Dinge mit dem 16.30 Uhr Zug weiter zu unserem heutigen Hotel in Kumamoto. „Kuma“ ist im übrigen japanisch für „Bär“ und diese sieht man hier an jedem Haus, jeder Straßenecke winkend in Form des hiesigen Maskottchens.
Da ich weiblichen Geschlechts bin, hab ich von der Rezeptionstante 3 Badezusätze geschenkt bekommen. Das finde ich hervorragend, da ich seit nun zwei Wochen jeden Abend ein Vollbad in japanischen Badewannen nehme!
Highlight des Abends ist übrigens unser Ausblick: aus dem 24. Stock hat man einen super Überblick über die vielen tausend Lichter der Stadt.
