Axel heißt eigentlich Cola – das fanden wir heute morgen noch heraus. Unser Hostelbesitzer war stets ernst und verzog nie eine Mine. Außer wenn er sich in Deutsch probierte und uns „Viel Spaß“ oder „Gute Reise“ wünschte – dann schien er vor Stolz zu platzen und musste herzhaft lachen.
Mit Sack und Pack ging es weiter, mit dem Shinkansen nach Fukuoka. Auf dem Weg wurden wir von einem freundlichen Herrn angesprochen, der wohl unseren Gespräch entnahm, dass wir Deutsche sind. Dann erzählte er von dem Aufenthalt mit seiner Frau auf Schloss Neuschwanstein.
Am Bahnhof Hakata trafen wir uns mit Tomo, der heute ohne seinen Kumpel Mitsuhiro kam, weil er arbeiten musste.
Er führte uns zu seiner Wohnung, wo wir unsere Rucksäcke lagern konnten und holte eine Tüte mit ungewöhnlichem Inhalt hervor. Daraus fischte er ein kleines (eventuell mit Steinchen gefülltes) Kissen hervor, gab es mir und meinte, ich solle es eine Weile schütteln. Nach kurzer Zeit erwärmte sich das Kissen ungemein und ist bis jetzt (neun Stunden später) noch heiß! Super Erfindung, die wohl nicht einmal 10 Cent kostet.
Als erstes steuerten wir drei ein Restaurant ganz oben im Bahnhofsgebäude an und hatten ein wahrlich üppiges Mittagessen. Anschließend fuhren wir mit verschiedenen Bahnen nach Dazaifu, wo der Tenmangu Schrein steht. Wir besichtigten den Schrein und sahen das schönste Herbstlaub, wie wir es uns für den Urlaub erhofft hatten. Auf der zurück zum Bahnhof führenden Straße aßen wir frisch zubereitete, heiße Mochi und verkosteten in einem anderen Geschäft scharfe Fischeier.
Zurück am Bahnhof Hakata machten wir einen Spaziergang über den hell erleuchteten Weihnachtsmarkt. Hier gab es neben Glühwein, Räucherhäuschen, Ampelmännchen-Artikeln und Holzkunst aus dem Erzgebirge auch echten Stollen! Wie gut, dass wir diesen als Gastgeschenk aus Deutschland importiert hatten!
Wir tranken einen (schweine)teuren Glühwein – Tomos ersten überhaupt – und hatten nun jeder eine pinke Tasse als Andenken.
Dann holten wir unsere Rucksäcke aus Tomos Wohnung und er schenkte mir noch seine restlichen Wärmekissen, ehe er uns zum Hostel begleitete. Das liegt genau 15 m von der größten Shopping Mall der Stadt entfernt und genau daneben ist ein Eulen Café! Na, wer ahnt, was wir morgen unter anderem planen?
Im Hostel sind viele lustige und freundliche Leute, wie zum Beispiel Mami von der Rezeption, die für jede Gelegenheit einen Brocken deutsch parat hat oder eine nette ältere Frau, die Kaki-Stückchen von ihrer eigenen Farm verteilt.
Als letzten Akt des Tages suchten wir noch den nahe gelegenen Supermarkt auf und waren, wie immer, vom Angebot überwältigt! Wer noch so alles mit in unserem acht-Bett-Zimmer nächtigt, erfahren wir hoffentlich auch noch!
