Heute war zu allererst Wäschewaschen angesagt, da jene uns ausging. So gaben wir unsere schmutzige Wäsche an der Rezeption ab und holten sie auch sauber von dort wieder. In der Zwischenzeit sahen wir in den Nachrichten schon, dass sämtliche Bootsfahrten wegen des nahenden Taifuns abgesagt wurden. Nur zu gut, dass wir an dem Tag nach Gunkanjima wollten – mit dem Boot. Wir schafften also die noch nasse Wäsche in den benachbarten Waschsalon, um sie in den Trockner zu werfen.
Das Büro für die Bootsfahrten hatte tatsächlich geschlossen, sodass wir erst ziellos am Hafen entlang spazierten und dann das Büro fanden, von welchem aus wir letztes Jahr nach Gunkanjima fuhren. Während wir hoffnungsvoll die Abfahrtszeiten studierten, kam eine Mitarbeiterin raus zu uns und zeigte uns die Preisliste. Als sie hörte, dass wir letztes Jahr wegen eines Taifuns die Inseln nicht komplett besichtigen konnten und nun dieses Mal wieder kein Boot fuhr, entschuldigte sie sich mitleidsvoll unzählige Male und bat uns anschließend nach innen, um uns als Entschädigung wenigstens jeden ein Postkartenset zu schenken. Danach machte sie noch ein Foto von uns für den Blog und auch ihre Kollegin bot uns jeden zwei Sticker an, als sie von unserem Unglück hörte. Der einzige anwesende Mann wünschte uns eine gute Weiterreise und hoffte, uns nächstes Jahr wieder zusehen. Nett sind sie auf jeden Fall, die Japaner 🙂 Wir sahen uns nun schließlich den einzigen außerhalb von China von Chinesen erbauten konfuzianischen Tempel an, dessen Anlage eine Brücke, unzählige Statuen und das Chinesische Museum mit Leihgaben aus dem originalen chinesischen Geschichtsmuseum wie zum Beispiel Terrakottakrieger, beherbergte. Nach einem Rundgang in einem großen Shoppingcenter dinierten wir heute in einem Restaurant direkt auf unserer benachbarten Shoppingstraße. Für 1000 yen hatten wir ein riesiges Buffet für 90 Minuten all-you-can-eat gebucht. Und es gab alles! Von Suppen, über verschiedene Fisch- und Fleischspeisen, bis hin zu frischer Melone (!) und Kuchen. Vor lauter Auswahl wussten wir gar nicht, was wir zuerst essen sollten.
