Um unser Besichtigungsprogramm überhaupt bewältigen zu können, besorgten wir uns gleich an der Rezeption unseres Hostels eine Tageskarte für die lokalen Busse. So ausgerüstet fuhren wir mit dem Bus gleich erstmal an den uns entferntesten Besichtigungspunkt den Kinkakuji Tempel (Goldener Pavillon). Selbst erstaunt das die geplante Busroute stimmte, kamen wir sehr zügig am besagten Tempel an, bei dem uns jedoch schon massenweise Touristen entgegenkamen. Mehr Weiße als Japaner. Da der Reiseführer auf dieses Problem schon hingewiesen hatte, ließen wir uns davon nicht abschrecken und nahmen uns der Sache an. Ein paar Bilder später und ein Stück gelaufen stellte sich das Gelände doch noch als lohnendes Ziel, auf Grund des schönen Gebäudes und des ruhigen Parkes, heraus. Nur eine weite kurze Fahrt mit dem völlig überfüllten Bus entfernt, besuchten wir die Ryoanji Tempelanlage (Zentempel) und den dazugehörigen berühmen Zengarten. Hier waren wir schon etwas ungestörter aber nun mehr von Japanern umringt. Danach ging es weiter zum geschlossenen Kaiserpalast und zur geschlossenen Burg. Der Platz welcher den Kaiserpalast umringt beeindruckte schon wegen seiner Weitläufigkeit, der Größe der Mauern und dem Fakt, dass hier immer noch die Thronbesteigungszeremonien stattfinden! Aber wegen der Burg war es wirklich schade, da diese uns einen Tag zuvor auch noch wärmstens von 2 Französinnen empfohlen wurde und diese schon von außen eindrucksvoll aussah. Naja zumindest hatten wir so wieder Zeit gespart und konnten gleich zum nächsten Ziel dem Kiyomizudera Tempel, welcher teilweise auf Stelzen steht. Trotz dass wir wieder mit dem Bus schon sehr nah herangefahren wurden, mussten wir einen mörderischen Aufstieg in engen Gassen mit hunderten Menschen bewältigen. Jule fiel das zudem noch schwerer, weil links und rechts überall für Touristen kleine Souvenirläden die Straße säumten 😉 Am Eingang angekommen haben wir dann gleich erstmal einen Liter Schokomilch getrunken und uns für alles weitere gestärkt. Die tolle Aussicht entlohnte dann teilweise für die Anstrengungen, aber die prasselnde Sonne ließ jeden Anflug von Entspannung gleich wieder verfliegen. Ach ja man hätte nochmal mehr als 3 Euro dafür ausgeben können um sich in einer riesigen Schlage aus Japanern anstellen zu können um dann irgendwann aus einem Wasserfall heiliges und gesundheitsförderndes Wasser zu zapfen. Danach hatten wir erstmal genug von Tempeln und sind noch einmal in das Vergnügungsviertel Gion gefahren um etwas zu shoppen. Und so endete unser anstrengender Tag, shoppen war besonders anstrengend 😉
